You could flip this over in summer for a lighter side, but we found that tossing less during winter months because of its calming effect on us. Hello! I had never tried a weighted blanket before but read it can help with anxiety and sleep so gave one a go. It felt quite claustrophobic at first on the bed - you know when your head gets too hot under there? I don't even know where to start! I don't know how I lasted 40 yrs without these blankets! I have trouble sleeping and tend to get very hot while I'm sleeping...the 20lb twin has solved both those problems! I've never slept better!! I had to by a 2nd blanket for my husband, and just purchased another for myself as my cat has taken over my original blanket, but on the plus side he is much less anxious sleeping when he is under the end of that first blanket I purchased. Pet size may be an idea as it's calmed him down and has better sleeps now, which means better sleeps for me!! Can not live without these blankets! Game changer!!!!!

I can feel that i am still adjusting to the weight since ive been only using it for less than a week. Bought king size 35lbs and nobody to share. Great size, i love the cover and its not too hot at all!
The only thing i didnt like was the shipping, it took them 2 weeks to have the item shipped and another 2 to deliver.

I just got the product yesterday and had a great sleep with it last night. My only complaint may be the size which I didn't think about when ordering it. The blanket just barely covers the bed. It is not a functional issue but looks weird when you make your bed and it looks like you ordered the wrong size.

I have suffered from insomnia for over 25 years. I'm now 52 years old and I cannot remember the last time I slept through the night. I've spent the last 5 years going to various sleep centres around Montreal. Believe me, I've gone through every test you can imagine, and have had only modest results. My daughter talked to me about weighted blanket about 6 months ago and I was skeptical about the idea.
How can such a simple thing like a blanket help me when other therapies including medications did not help -- at least for any extended amount of time. I have now owned a Gravid weighted blanket for 4 months and my sleep is better than it was when i was in University. I still take melatonin and practice meditation before bedtime to help me, but I find the Gravid has been the biggest contributor to my new and improved sleep. Because I'm now getting a better sleep, other parts of my life has improved as well...I'm less irritable, and my mood is generally more positive. I now only have to take half the dosage and I am thinking I may be able to stop taking it all together. I have had the blanket for 2 weeks now. Strongly recommend buying one. I didnt expect this blanket to fix my sleeping issues, as I had been waking up at night worrying about this and that, but ive noticed that when i do wake up I am falling back to sleep quicker than before. I can feel a difference in the morning...I feel more rested physically even though I have still woken up in the middle of the night anxious, but thats a much deeper issue I suppose. Overall, I am quite happy with the blanket.

How do I wash my weighted blanket?
The Gravid weighted blanket (and outer removable covers) can be washed in your machine on a cool, gentle cycle with a small amount of liquid detergent.
Tumble dry on a cool setting until slightly damp, and hang to complete the drying process.
When can I expect my weighted blanket?
Once your order is placed, we ship it out from our Brampton, Ontario warehouse within 1 business day. We ship by Canada Post, UPS and Purolator.

What is the return policy?
Once you receive your blanket, you have 14 Nights to try it out.
The Gravid weighted blanket uses deep touch pressure stimulation to help you relax and drift to sleep. However, it can take some time for your body to completely adjust to your new weighted blanket.
We recommend that you ease into it by using it a few hours at a time (while watching TV, reading a book, etc...) before using it for a full nights rest.
We highly recommend you sleep with it for at least a week to give your body a chance to adjust. If for any reason you are not satisfied with the item, ship it back to us and we'll refund you 100% of your purchase price.
