Best thing I’ve ever bought myself. I’m new to weighted blankets and a little claustrophobic so it being knitted and the airflow from it keeps me feeling free while wrapping me up in a nice, weighted hug.
Ann M.
It took over 2 months for this to ship with no communication from Gravid

Love my chunky blanket!
Lili-Anne T.
It’s stiff, so stiff that the blanket doesn’t even weigh down on my body. I was expecting it to be as cozy as the regular weighted blanket but with edge, very disappointed.
Judith O.
I didn’t like it at all. It is too bulky and uncomfortable. It doesn’t put even pressure on the body. It is so stiff that in some areas is lifted and doesn’t rest on your body, the edges curl . If you want to return it you need to pay for shipping. In my opinion, the shipping cost is not worth it to just try it .

I LOVE IT..compared to weighted blankets with beads, there is no comparaison…worth the price…so comfy, air passes through…can’t describe the feel but WOW… you have to try to believe…what a feeling.. never slept better!
Francine P.
Compared to weighted blanket…I’m in heavan!!!…Love love…Air passes through..WOW!!

I purchased the blanket for my sister who suffers from restless legs, insomnia and chronic pain. The weight of the blanket has helped her sleep better and the pressure of the blanket reduces some pain and the restlessness in her legs. She is thrilled with her beautiful weighted blanket and is now considering getting a second blanket so she can comfortably watch tv. The blanket has made such a huge difference.

This was not my 1st weighted blanket from gravid. I was excited to receive it. I unfortunately do not like it. I do not like the feel of the outside material. I don't like how it lays when I am in bed. I don't have the same feeling that I get from my traditional weighted blanket. I will say, it does look nice as a decorative blanket on my bed.

Heavy blanket . Does as advertised
Amélie
Almost perfect... It is my very first experience with a weighted blanket, and I chose the knit style, because I love the fact that the weight is so evenly distributed.
I spent my whole childhood driving my parents crazy, because I couldn't fall asleep without a big, heavy comforter on top of me, even in summer months (I have since discovered I have a number of sensory processing issues).
Of course, I often ended up overheating and having a poor quality of sleep. But it was either that, or staying awake all night long! I truly wish those types of blankets had been available back then!
Since my partner and I are complete opposites (he can't stand the feeling of anything being wrapped or pressed against him whilst he sleeps, and tends to overheat at night, while I more easily get cold, except during summer), we have a king size bed that allows us to have our own sets of covers and blankets on each side.
A twin size blanket thus works very well for a single sleeper in a King bed.
And the weight and feel of the blanket is very soothing, calming, and seems to help with falling asleep.
My only issue is that it's a bit too short!
I'm 5'8", and if I want my feet covered, then the length of the blanket barely reaches my shoulders; whereas I've always preferred sleeping with the covers pulled all the way to my ears, at the very least!
But, if I do that with this blanket, then my feet aren't covered anymore, and vice versa.
I just put an extra folded blanket on my feet, but I really wished it covered the full lenght of my body...
I'm just happy not to be 6' feet tall, or above!
I really don't know why it's made so short...
Sharmin S.
It’s not that I don’t like it, but I don’t absolutely love it. it curls as I try to cover up it does not lay flat. I think that would be my only issue.
Anna C.
There should be an in between choice. This blanket slides off the bed at night. The ends curl and its hard to get them to stay straight. Its also not heavy enough.
C A.
A good nights rest awaits me now that I have the the Gravis chunky knit throw blanket. I find myself falling sleep more quickly and stay in a sleep longer,
Jacquelyn R.
I bought this blanket for my son, who has autism and who gets very anxious and antsy. It wasn't what I expected. I thought it would be good for when he is on the computer or sitting on the sofa, but it's much too chunky and heavy for that. The big holes also surprised me. It doesn't look like a blanket at all, more like a big net. We put it on his bed, and he says he really likes it, which is all that matters, but I'm not sure how much better sleep he is getting.
Shannon S.
I love the look, feel and weight of this blanket. The light grey is gorgeous and the size is perfect to move from bed to couch etc. I thought it would be hot but the loose knit and material is cool and soft.
Camilla M.
The best sleep ever. I am 72 and watch my money this is a good investment in my health Camilla
Barbara S.
Not knowing exactly what to expect I find that I am quite enjoying the blanket. I will admit that it does take some getting used to, but after several nights I find that my sleep is comfortable. The blanket is not too heavy and the material is very breathable. The colour varies slightly from the picture, but that is not a concern. I look forward to better sleep
Shelley
Good weight. I like the design, but the edges curl and it slides off the bed.
Shelley N.
While I like the weight and the construction of the blanket, it keeps sliding off the bed and taking the rest of the covers with it. Also, the edges are rolled, and I can’t get them to lie flat.
JAY T.
Great blanket. Bought it for a soon to be college baseball athlete and he loves it. Sleeps soundly at night
Roberta B.
This was a gift to a friend and she loves it!!
Judy P.
Awesome quality and great service with this company. I have bought at least 5 blankets and other accessories so far. I love them.
Matteo R.
I bought 2 of these. The grey colour is absolutely amazing in real life - looks better than the photos. It’s heavy but not hot. It doesn’t provide much warmth, which is exactly what I wanted.
Olivia M.
This blanket has been life-changing in making me fall asleep faster, sleep deeper, and wake up more rested. I use it on my twin bed. I fold it in half to double up on the pressure, or unfold it and pull the sides in close. The way that the weave stretches and contracts is a little weird at first, and can affect the weight distribution on a smaller mattress, but I got the hang of how to pull it over myself pretty quickly. It’s a small price to pay for a blanket that doesn’t use any glass beads — other blankets will leak the beads, and it’s a nightmare to clean up. Not this one though: I’d buy it again in a heartbeat.
Charlotte E.
Weight is perfect and doesn’t add a lot of heat. I was also asked if this is washable, and it is. I put it in my washer all by itself because of the weight and bulk. Comes out great!

Update: I'm very happy to update that the brand reached out and was extremely apologetic about the experience I had. Jhoanmary, from the customer service team, assured me that their newer blankets are made with a better material and they sent me a new blanket free of charge to try out. We have had it for a few weeks and it looks great, very happy with this new product! Definitely will recommend now. Original Review:We've had our Gravid Chunky Knit for about 9 months now, and a few months in we noticed it starting to pill quite significantly and look dingy. On top of this, the fabric is really slippery and the blanket slides off the bed in one direction or the other in the middle of the night and makes it annoying to sleep with. I really wanted to love this blanket because it's nice and soft, but unfortunately it is a huge bummer to spend $300 + on a blanket and have it start to look terrible within a matter of months.I wrote to the company about this and their only suggestion was to use a de-piller on the pilled areas (which is kind of a joke because it's most of the blanket). Sadly this doesn't work very well because of all the crevices and the softness of the stuffing inside the blanket. They had no other suggestions nor were they willing to take any feedback about the quality of the blanket.
Raj P.
I and the rest of my friends are obsessed with this blanket. It’s the first thing they go to whenever they come over.
Diya S.
This is my second Gravid! The first is the Breeze and its on my bed every night! This one is for travel...when the guest bed does not have one in place! Haha!!! I am a 72 yr. old female, and I do not sleep well on a regular basis. My daughter recommended gravid after she got one for their master bedroom. It has changed my life! Not perfect sleep every night, but greatly, greatly improved sleep! I sleep deeper, and longer, faster. Can't ask for more!
James C.
Absolutely love this weighted blanket. Got the sleek black for my lounger and it is absolutely luxurious.
Leonardo N.
I like the weight and the ability to stay cool. A simple top sheet under the blanket will stop the air flow. After washing the first time it shrank a bit and became slighttlyyy more stiff, but softened up again over a few uses. I feel it’s worth the price and plan to eventually purchase another for the living room.
Carlos P.
I was honestly surprised that I liked this weighted blanket as much as I do. The woven pattern allows more air to circulate so I have been able to use the blanket without overheating. I could never have done that with my other weighted blanket, even though it weighs 5lb less. It is also really soft and does keep me fairly warm if I get cold. The grey colour also has a blue hue to it, which goes better with my room. Overall I love it!
Maria J.
I was not a fan of weighted blankets. I always felt smothered by them, and they were difficult to manage or move. However, this blanket is great! I was hesitant to buy it because of the price, but it feels and moves differently than the traditional weighted blankets. I sleep very well under this, and it's not too hot or bulky. If you were not a fan of traditional weighted blankets, give this one a try!
Hugo L.
I love weighted blankets and I love Gravid - I was one of their first customers back in 2017. I really had been wanting a chunky beautiful blanket like this that is also functional. Definitely a different feeling from the traditional glass-bead filled blankets. This one is more of a lounging throw - its defintely not a replacement for my original Gravid though.

I’m loving my chunky knit weighted blanket. It’s fantastic! It’s got a perfect balance of softness and weight which is spot-on and gives me that “comforting embrace” feeling that lulls you into relaxation after a long day. It’s gentle on the skin and the knit weave definitely helps with temperature control too. I have been using it on the couch and on top of my bed so far. I can notice the difference when I use it in bed to fall asleep faster, and staying asleep longer. Definitely a natural sleep aid I had to experience to really understand. Great product.
Ananya I.
Since we got this blanket, we've been using it everywhere! In bed, on the couch while watching TV etc. It's got a lovely, comforting weight to it without being too smothering or hot - very pleased with our purchase
Margaux S.
Product is just as advertised and is comfortable and appears to be very well made. Stretches open to allow for good airflow, so no sleeping hot issues for me. Being my first use if weighted blankets, I did struggle slightly the first 2 nights but no more. Sleep better now than with regular comforters/blankets. Colour seems more dark grey than black but looks great nonetheless. All in all very happy with it. Only gave 4 stars due to price being on the high side.
Priya D.
Gives pressure that is distributed across your body and meant to simulate the feeling of being hugged. My husband and I have been using Gravid knit for sleeping this past year and we LOVE it! And also, while we’re relaxing on the couch watching TV. Weighted blankets naturally reduce stress and increase relaxation through deep pressure stimulation. So comforting, so soft and luxurious - most importantly, we don’t feel overheated! If you need an additional relaxation tool, definitely give this a try!

This blanket is so cozy, warm, yet breathable. Perfect for hot sleepers that still want the comfort of a blanket. My cat appreciates the finer things in life and loves it! Would recommend.
Camille B.
I have not washed this yet- hope it holds up. Seems like nice quality. Fits nicely over a chair or at the bottom of a bed. This size Works great as a lap blanket when lounging.
Ethan H.
This blanket really helps me sleep. It is the only blanket I have not tossed off in the middle of the night and does not make me overhear. I wake up significantly less and achieve deeper sleep.Only negative is that there is not much extra length with the blanket and if used by two people, may start to feel a bit small. Still 5* for me.
Lucia H.
This blanket is AMAZING! It’s so soft, and cozy and let’s not forget, beautiful! Such great quality too! Also love, love that this small business company donates blankets to CAMH in Toronto, among other notable qualities! Definitely recommend them! Worth the extra price for sure!
Alessandro T.
We have been loving this blanket for a few months! Loving it!. Great quality and we are big fans of weighted blankets. This one is by far our favorite in the house of 7 ppl.
Luca C.
Very nice quality. Got lost in transit, gravid cs team (Genesis?) was super helpful. A+
Ava L.
It is the perfect weight and helps me stay cool in the Summer. Definitely a very good investment.
Ana S.
I received my blanket yesterday and immediately used it last night. I have to say I fell in love with it !!! Love the open weave that will let air circulate. It is big enough so that I can fold it over. Expecially up around my shoulders. Tried to watch a movie but fell asleep !!! The material is soft and not scratchy al all.It was well worth the price.
Julien O.
I love my Gravid knitted weighted blanket! I typically get insanely hot when I sleep, so I never thought I'd be able to use a weighted blanket, but I have been proven wrong! The knitted option offers the comfort of the weight without causing you to overheat. I highly recommend for my fellow hot sleepers!
Arjun M.
This is my favorite blanket. It’s a great weighted blanket for the summer. Very breathable. High quality blanket. Would highly recommend.
Giovanni A.
20/10 recommend!! This is the best weighted blanket I’ve ever tried! Most weighted blankets I’ve tried make me feel like I’m roasting in an over, but not this one. I love how heavy it is and cool in temperature, making it great for all seasons! I work night shift and I’ve noticed a higher quality of sleep since I started using this blanket. The knitted design allows for the weight to be evenly distributed and doesn’t bunch to one side like other weighted blankets I’ve used. It is incredible soft and aesthetically pleasing as well. Also it comes with a bag to pack it in, which is a huge plus considering I travel around a lot.

I was hesitant to buy this blanket but I decided to take the gamble on this Gravid Chunky Knit one because the only other two options I found was Hush and it was $120 more - and the Silk n'snow reviews in particular said that the blankets had an odour (which I really didn't want to deal with). I'm happy to report the gamble paid off! Thankfully, no odour. It's my new favourite blanket! Weighted blankets have been crucial for my sleep (I used to have insomnia from general anxiety), so was happy to find this option. I've had regular weighted blankets before this one, but they were weighted with beads that leaked and shifted around a lot. I found this one looking for an option without beads. It is so far proving much better - the weight distribution is really even and it feels soft and sturdy. I also love how breathable it is with the knitted design. I've been able to comfortably wrap myself in it. I will say, the grey one I ordered is more of a blueish, steal-grey. But it's still an appealing color - somewhat softer and less industrial/sterile looking. Like my previous weighted blankets, the twin size only covers the top of a twin bed (rather than going over the sides like a comforter). Since my other weighted blankets also fit like this, I think that's pretty standard, but keep that in mind if you're actually looking for a comforter.
Emily S.
When I say that this blanket is like a cocoon of cozy hugs…I initially purchased it to go along with my collection of self care blankets when I’m feeling overwhelmed but this is the best one I’ve had. It’s heavy enough to give you comfort but doesn’t get too hot because it allows airflow. I’m in love with this one!
Amelie F.
I recently ordered this blanket in the black 15lb twin style (only option actually) and I'm loving it! I have an older weighted blanket that I wanted to replace because it's too small and not very comfortable. This blanket fits great on my bed and is also perfect for just hanging out on the couch with as the weather gets cooler. I really like the knitted design because, like the description mentions, the blanket is warm while still being breathable. My old weighted blanket had a tendency to get way too stifling hot, but this blanket with its knit design keeps you warm without overheating you. The material is also super soft which is great obviously and I also appreciate that it's machine washable. I don't like to have to go out of my way to have bedding dry cleaned so being able to pop this into the washer will be a big plus. This blanket is definitely staying on my bed/couch from now on. Our dog also gives it the seal of approval as you can see!

I got my Gravid Chunky Knit blanket a few weeks ago. I ordered the grey one. Overall I love it. Very soft to the touch-Tight weave- does not stretch out if it hangs over the bed at night-Seams in the fabric are even and well done.-If you pull on a loop by accident, you can easily retighten it.-Weight is evenly distributed-Colour is beautiful- the grey is a blueish grey (looks lighter in the photos) -Comes in a canvas bag. Overall, I think it’s a well made product and we have been enjoying it. I will change my review if I find any durability issues in the future.
Sofia G.
Really happy with this purchase. Quality of the blanket is fantastic, the knitted fabric and construction are worth the price. No beads to deal with, so the blanket distributes the weight well. Gravid is carbon neutral and use 100% recycled fabric according to their customer service team, which is part of the reason I went with this one. Responsive customer care. All in all, 5 stars and would recommend
Aarav K.
This blanket is absolutely gorgeous! I got the black and it's a bit lighter than in the pictures (less of a pitch black, and more of a really really dark grey) but I love it. It's cooler than the glass-bead-filled blanket I had before this, and it feels very plush. Great for snuggling in and cool enough for sleeping even if your bedroom is on the warm side.
Antoine D.
I have always wanted a weighted blanket that provides that 'heavy' comforting feeling, but doesn't make you feel like you're in a sauna. After doing some research, and purchasing a few highly-rated weighted blankets, I thought to myself "Someone really needs to invent a weighted blanket with holes to release the heat, without the the weighted beads lumping into seams." In comes the Gravid Chunky Knit. Their product looked promising so i took the plunge. I'm so glad I did because not only did it surpass what I wanted, but it beats other blankets out there because:1. It feels like a vintage t-shirt, its not stiff or scratchy.2. It's far easier to move around to different rooms.3. Easy to wash when needed, without the fear of it tearing open and beads pouring out. Absolutely love it
